This travel-time friendly itinerary gives a comprehensive introduction to the entrancing sights of northern India; from bustling cities to serene temples; flora and fauna in wildlife sanctuaries to glittering palaces of Rajasthan. The itinerary focuses on the diverse colors of India along.

Profile
Starting in Delhi with a full day’s sightseeing program, travel to Agra to visit the splendid fort and incomparable Taj Mahal. We stop at the fascinating ruined Mughal city of Fatehpur Sikri and continue on to Jaipur, the wonderfully vibrant and colorful capital of Rajasthan is no less exciting. Lastly, we visit the City Palace and the Palace of Winds, as well as elephant ride to Amber Fort just outside the city.

 

Day 01: Arrive Delhi

Arrival at Delhi International airport, followed by a traditional welcome, transfer to hotel. Delhi is a bustling metropolis, which successfully combines in its folds the ancient with modern. Its strategic location was the prime reasons why successive dynasties chose it as their seat of power. After lunch, tour of New Delhi visiting Humayun’s Tomb – considered to be an inspiration for the Taj Mahal, memorial of Mughal Emperor Humayun, built in the year 1562. The complex is a World Heritage Site & the first example of this type of Mughal architecture in India and Qutub Minar, a 72.5 meters high exquisite ‘Tower of Victory’, the tallest at that time, built in the year 1206 by Qutub-ud-din Aibek. It is the tallest (72m) brick minaret in the world, an important example of Indo-Islamic Architecture. Qutub Minar & its monuments are also listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Time permitting visit Lotus Temple, built in the shape of a lotus flower and is the last of seven major Bahai’s temples built around the world, The structure is made up of pure white marble, Around the blooming petals there are nine pools of water, which light up, in natural light. It looks spectacular at dusk when it is flood lit. Two nights stay at Delhi.

 

Day 02: Delhi Sightseeing

After an early breakfast, visit the Gurdwara of Bangla Sahib, magnificent, huge, white-marble Gurdwara, topped by glinting golden onion domes, constructed at the site where the eighth Sikh guru, Harkrishan Dev, stayed before his 1664 death. In-spite of being in the center of the city, the place is free from the hustle/bustle of the city and one can feel the spiritual vibes the places has. The sanctum sanctorum is the main temple building that houses the Guru Granth Sahib. Raagis (classical singers) sing verses from the Holy Book throughout the day, adding to the overall spiritual experience.
Later a full day guided tour of Old Delhi, visiting Jama Masjid – the largest 17th century mosque in India. Built in 1656 by the Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan, it is the largest and best-known mosque in India. Later a rickshaw ride across the crowded streets of Chandni Chowk – the typical Indian market always abuzz with activity, the old marketplace of Shahjahanabad to reach the Red Fort, (Closed on Mondays) another 17th -century Shah Jahan construction. Evening, visit Raj Ghat -Mahatma Gandhi’s memorial, a simple black marble platform that marks the spot of his cremation and India Gate – built to commemorate the sacrifice of 70,000 Indian soldiers who lost their lives fighting for the British Army during World War 1

 

Day 03: Delhi – Agra (230 km;4hrs drive)

Morning after breakfast, drive to Agra, a bustling city situated on the banks of river Yamuna. It achieved prominence as the capital of the Mughal Emperors between 1526 and 1628, and remains a major tourist destination because of its many splendid Mughal-era monuments, most notably the Taj Mahal, Agra Fort and the nearby Fatehpur Sikri, all three having the distinction of being UNESCO World Heritage sites. Arrive in Agra and check into hotel. Later visit Agra Fort – taken over from the Lodhis by the Mughal Emperor Akbar in the late 16th century. The Fort can more accurately be described as a walled palatial city. It was built from red sandstone and marble, embellished with marble-inlay work and intricate decorations. Taj Mahal remains closed on Every Friday

 

Day 04: Agra – Jaipur via Fatehpur Sikri (250 kms;6hrs drive)

This morning after breakfast, visit Taj Mahal before leaving for Jaipur. Taj Mahal provides you the feeling of being a royal guest, a symbol of eternal love. Standing at the southern bank of the river Yamuna, this mausoleum was built by the 5th Mughal Emperor, Shah Jahan, in the year 1631 in memory of his wife, Mumtaz Mahal later drive to Jaipur via the deserted city of Fatehpur Sikri, the capital of the Mughal Empire during Akbar’s reign from 1571 until 1585, when it was abandoned, ostensibly due to dearth of water. Children love to roam here among the ruins to add fun to the tour. drive to the capital of Rajasthan, Jaipur. Also known as ‘The City of Victory’, Jaipur has a rich cultural heritage that gives it a distinct identity. A riot of colors welcomes us as soon as we step into this wonderful city.

 

Day 05: Jaipur Couple Yoga, Spa Treatment Massage and sightseeing

Morning Couple Yoga class about 01 hour at yoga center. We will take you to yoga center by care and return to hotel for breakfast, rest morning free to enjoy Spa treatment, massage bring together a palette of various techniques,this signature massage works to release mental, physical and emotional stree. Afternoon visit City Palace, a perfect blend of Rajasthani and Mughal architecture. Next, visit Jantar Mantar, a solar observatory built in the 18th century; an astronomical treasure house that measures time according to the movement of the sun to an error of just 2 seconds with solar devices that give accurate astrological predictions as well till date. Evening free to explore Jaipur

 

Day 06:  Jaipur Couple Yoga, Spa Treatment Massage and sightseeing

Again morning Couple Yoga at Yoga center for about an hour and return to hotel for breakfast, rest morning free to enjoy Spa treatment, massage bring together a palette of various techniques, this signature massage works to release mental, physical and emotional stree. Afternoon visit Hawa Mahal (Palace of Winds), a five-storied facade of pink sandstone. It was built in the year 1799 to allow royal ladies to watch processions and festivities on the road through its 953 ‘jharokas’ or small windows without being seen by the public drive to Amer, 11 km from Jaipur. Famous for its massive Amber Fort, Amer was the ancient capital of Kachhawaha dynasty for 6 centuries. Having appreciated its beauty and captured that in our cameras,

 

Day 07:  Jaipur – Delhi

After breakfast, relax for some time at the hotel until check out, Later transfer to Delhi International airport hotel for flight to onward destination. Or shall provide wash n change room in Delhi before you leave for airport which depends on flight schedule timing.
