A 5 days safari visiting Hell’s Gate, Lake Nakuru and Maasai Mara. Hell’s Gate National Park a spectacular scenery including the towering cliffs, water-gouged gorges, stark rock towers, scrub clad volcanoes and belching plumes of geothermal steam make it one of the most atmospheric Parks in Africa.Lake Nakuru: Enjoy the fabulous water birds and other bird species. The best place to view the birds is from Baboon Cliff, where you get an excellent view over the lake, and the wonderful spectacle of pink flamingos along its edge. Maasai Mara: The Masai Mara Game Reserve is one of the best places in Africa for wildlife viewing. Game drives are a great way to experience the park and they take place all year round. Depart Nairobi by road to Hell’s Gate National Park. Arrive at Hell’s Gate National Park after a 2 hour’s drive. Once at the Park, you will enjoy a game drive an spectacular views of the gorge. The park provides a variety of wildlife, unusual flora and many species of birds and is one of the only two Kenyan Parks where climbing, walking and biking are allowed. Animals seen here include Bushbucks, Dikdiks, Gazelles, Gnus, Hartebeests, Impalas, Enjoy breakfast and depart Naivasha by road to Lake Nakuru National Park via the Rift Valley Escarpment. Arrival at the Lodge via a game drive. Check In and Lunch will be served. Afternoon at Leisure to Enjoy the facilities the Lodge has to offer before going for an Evening Game Drive. Lake Nakuru National Park is plentiful and the magnificent, the Park is a home to stunning flocks of lesser and Greater Flamingos, which literally turn the lakeshores in to a magnificent pink stretch(Depending on the Season). The bird life here is world renowned and over 400 birds’s species exist here, White Pelicans, Plovers, Egrets and Marabou Stork. It is also one of the very few places in Africa to see the White Rhino and rare Rothschild Rothschild Giraffe. Day 03: Lake Nakuru – Narok Museum – Masai Mara Enjoy breakfast then Depart by road to Masai Mara through the dramatic Great Rift Valley to the Masai Mara National Reserve. On the way you will stop at The Narok Museum. After the Museum you will be transferred to the Safari Lodge via a Game Drive. THE NAROK MUSEUM The Maasai are noble, aristocratic people with an impressive physical appearance and a technology appropriate to the harsh environmental conditions of tropical savannah.The Maasai live in a cycle constituted by a chain of ceremonies that involve the community as a whole. After childhood (inkera), initiation into adulthood (emorata), and adulthood. Girls marry and boys become warriors (ilmoran). Elders look forward to an age of responsibility and continuous involvement. An early morning Game Drive in Masai Mara National Reserve to search for great predators and perhaps even cubs continues today during extensive game runs. On the plains are enormous herds of grazing animals plus the elusive cheetah and leopard hiding amidst acacia boughs. Arrive back at the Lodge for Breakfast. Day at Leisure to enjoy the facilities that the Lodge has to Offer before going for an evening game drive. Return to lodge, freshen up, dinner served. The park has historically been an important home for the rare lammergeyer vultures Over 103 species of birds have been recorded in this park, including vultures, Verreaux’s Eagles. Transferred to the Lodge for Check in and Lunch at the lodge. Afternoon at Leisure to enjoy various activities available at the Lodge such as swimming, walking, horse riding or cycling at leisure. The National Museums of Kenya has setup a Museum in Narok with exhibitions of pictures and artifacts to preserve the beauty and strength of the rich traditional culture of the Maasai and other speakers of the Maa language.The Maa speakers in Kenya comprise the Maasai (Narok and Kajiado district),Samburu (Samburu, Laikipia district), Njemps (Baringo district) and groups of Ndorobo neighboring the Maasai. The Maasai are believed to have originated from North Africa and entered Kenya near L. Turkana, spreading south through the Rift Valley, which provided extensive grazing grounds for their cattle. Today they occupy parts of Kenya and Tanzania.
